A co-pilot died Friday after exiting from a cargo aircraft in mid-air without parachute in North Carolina before the plane made an emergency landing.
The body of
the co-pilot, 23-year-old Charles Hew Cooks was found in a backyard in the town
of Fuquay-Varina, about 30 miles (48 kilometers) south of the Raleigh-Durham
internal Airport, The Associated Press cited a report by Newsoutletsreport.
The pilot
made an emergency landing at the airport Friday afternoon after reporting that
one of the wheels had come off the landing gear, according to The Associated
Press. The pilot only sustained minor injuries and was soon released from
hospital after treatment.

The Associated Press, the pilot was the only person on board the turboprop
aircraft at the time of its emergency landing.
