Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid on Thursday called for threat of force by the United States against Iran over his continued uranium enrichment for possible nuclear weapon development.

Lapid told visiting U.S. President Joe Biden that Iran poses significant threat to the security in the region, adding that “diplomacy will not stop” the Iranian regime.

“The only thing that will stop Iran is knowing that if they continue to develop their nuclear program, the free world will use force,” Mr. Lapid said, according to The Washington Times. “The only way to stop them is to put a credible military threat on the table.”

“The Iranian regime must know that if they continue to deceive the world, they will pay a heavy price,” Mr. Lapid said, The Washington Times reported.

Iran has slowly disabled surveillance cameras at the site of its nuclear station in a complaint by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). IAEA also complained that Iran has been enriching Uranium beyond levels recommended in the JCPOA.
