Two siblings were killed Sunday after a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) crashed into a fast food restaurant in North Carolina, The Associated Press reports.

The crash occurred at about 9:45 a.m. at a Hardee’s restaurant in the city of Wilson, about 40 miles (65 kilometers) east of the state capital Raleigh, according to The Associated Press.

The Lincoln Aviator struck Christopher Ruffin, 58, and Clay Ruffin, 62, both from Wilson, a police news release said. Christopher Ruffin died at the scene while his brother died at ECU Health Medical Center in Greensville, according to The Associated Press.

The SUV appeared to have gone through front windows, coming to a stop inside the dining where the siblings were atop broken glass window frames.

Police identified the driver as Jesse Lawrence, 78, of Wilson. He was treated and released at Wilson Medical Center.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
