Three Dutch
Commandos were Saturday injured during a morning shooting in Indianapolis. The
three members of the Dutch Commando Corps in America for military exercises
were shot outside a hotel in Indianapolis, according to The Washington Times.
One of the soldiers
is in critical condition, Forbes quoted the Netherlands’ Ministry of Defense.
The Dutch
Defense Ministry said the shooting took place outside the downtown hotel where
the soldiers were staying while on their free time from a training exercise,
according to Forbes.
The shooting
took place at about 3:30 a.m. EDT in Indianapolis’ entertainment district, The Washington
Post reports
The three
men were taken to the local area hospital for treatment.
The Dutch
Defense Ministry said one soldier was in critical condition while the two
others were conscious but Indianapolis police said two of the soldiers were in
critical condition and the third was stable, according to The Washington Post.
Some
altercation between three soldiers and another person or people led to the
shooting, The Washington Post quoted the Indianapolis police as saying.
According to The Washington Post, the Indiana National Guard said the soldiers were training at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, a 1,000-acre (405-hectare) complex about 40 miles (65 kilometers) southeast of Indianapolis.
