A skydiving student who is also a Tik Tok celebrity died at the age of 21 during a sole dive in Canada.
Tanya
Pardazi jumped on the solo course on August 27, gaining 95,000 followers, the
Washington Examiner reports. The late Tik Tok influncer was a student at
Skydive Toronto Inc, a school that requires ground training before solo dives,
according to Washington Examiner.
Washington
Examiner cited her final Tik Tok as indicating that she had undergone the
training.
A statement
from the skydiving school said Pardazi allegedly opened her parachute at too
low an altitude, but unfortunately the parachute didn’t inflate and she fell to
her death, the Washington Examiner reported.
She was then
transported to a nearby hospital for treatment but was later pronounced dead.
"Canopy
incidents are the leading cause of death and injury," according to the
Canadian Sport Parachuting Association, the Washington Examiner reported.
"The
jumper was a welcomed recent addition to the skydiving community and will be
missed amongst the student's new friends and fellow jumpers at Skydive Toronto
Inc," the statement from the school read, according to the Washington
Examiner. "The team at Skydive Toronto Inc has been profoundly affected by
this accident as they have refined their student training program for over 50
years."
It is not
clear if the school have recorded previous deaths before Pardazi’s case.
