A Texas teen armed with a shotgun Friday night fatally shot 2 home breakers as they tried to enter his home but one luckily escaped, local authorities say.
The three
armed men, all wearing masks allegedly attempted to break into a home in
Channelview, a suburb east of Houston, the Harries County Sheriff’s Office
wrote in a press release, according to Newsweek.
The office
said it received a report of an alleged home invasion at about 10:40 p.m.,
according to Newsweek.
The occupants
of the home at the time of the invasion were an adult woman, a 12-year-old boy
and two 17-year-old boys. One of the 17-year-old boy grabbed a shotgun when he
realized the men were trying to come inside the house. The boy fired multiple
shots at the alleged burglars and stroke two of them, Newsweek cited the press
release.
The third
suspect fled the scene in an unidentified dark colored, four-door sedan without
injury, the press release said.
Law enforcement
found the two men unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds and were
pronounced dead at the scene by emergency management personnel, Newsweek quoted
the sheriff’s office.
The identities
of the burglars have not been released as of Saturday morning.
