A Harlem man arrested over his role in repeated subway sex attacks has admitted kissing a woman and said he wanted to do more. Rashad Rogers, 30, said “I’ve been wanting to do that” — and wanted to “do more,” New York Daily News reports.
The suspect
is facing multiple counts of sexual abuse and forcible touching following his
arrest on Monday.
On June 11,
Roger followed a 30-year-old woman on the downtown No. 6 platform at the 68th
St. –Hunter College, pulled her down the station stairs and sexually touched
himself in what appears to be his first attack, according to a criminal
complaint, New York Daily News reported.
When he pushed her to the ground, she bit his hand and he ran off,
according to the complaint.
Police said
Rogers in his second attack on June 14 sported a Disney cartoon backpack and
then accosted a 24-year-old woman sitting in an uptown No. 1 train in the 34th
St. Penn Station stop at about 9:15 p.m.
He leaned
over, kissed her lips and said “I wish I could do more”. The victim took a
photo of him on her cell phone and he fled between train cars.
On his third
attack, Rogers grabbed a 23-year-old woman’s buttocks at the Grand Central
station on Saturday, police said.
According to
New York Daily News, after his arrest Monday, Roger told cops, “Someone
reported me and I was on the news. I tried to kiss a white woman,” the criminal
complaint alleges.
The suspect
was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court and ordered held on $50,000 bail,
according to New York Daily News.
