US Department of Homeland Security arrested six suspects linked to terrorism at the southern border in June, according to data released by Customs and Border Protection late Friday, The Washington Times reports.
More than
200,000 illegal border jumpers were recorded in June, making the fourth
straight month that the Biden administration continues to see advances in
illegal crossing into the United States.
A key reason
for this surge may be linked to Joe Biden’s softened approach to illegal
immigration as compared to the Trump years who took a hardline position on the subject.
The total arrest is a decline compared to the month of May.
Hundreds of
thousands of people mostly from South America work with drug gangs and
smugglers to take them to America. Former President Donald Trump proposed a
wall construction to help stop the daily smuggling of drugs and other narcotics
into the United States from the Southern border.
People
smuggling has surged since Mr Biden took charge of the White House. Over 40
persons were found dead in an abandoned truck in the sweltering heat of San
Antonio in June.
