President Joe Biden has once again tested positive for COVID-19 after he emerged from isolation after being told by the White House he tested negative.
Biden
reportedly has no symptoms and continues to feel “quite well,” White House
physician Kevin O’Connor wrote in a note Saturday, Washington Examiner reports.
Mr. Biden resumed
official duties at his Oval Office in the White House Wednesday, July 27, 2022
following a brief recovering from the virus.
But he soon tested positive again.
"After
testing negative on Tuesday evening, Wednesday morning, Thursday morning, and
Friday morning, the president tested positive late Saturday morning by antigen
testing," he said, according to Washington Examiner. "This in fact
represents 'rebound' positivity."
Joe Biden goes back into isolation after testing positive to COVID-19
The president
is expected back in isolation, O’Connor noted.
President
Biden had to cancel his trip to Pennsylvanian and Florida after he was
diagnosed with the disease.
The president’s
positive test is coming months before the Administration offers updated booster
shots to the American people in September.
The Food and
Drugs Administration (F.D.A) has taken a decision to allow Americans under 50
and over 12 to receive second boosters followed reformulated shots from Pfizer
and Modena, New York Times reported.
The improved
versions are expected to perform better against the now-dominant Omicron
subvariant BA.5.
The
Administration’s effort is targeted at improving people’s immunities in the
fall as the nation prepares for winter surge of the virulent Corona virus.
