President Joe Biden’s approval rating among independents is now at an “all-time low” among independents in a survey conducted by NBC News just before midterms.
In the NBC
News survey, the president had an approval rating of 28% among independents, 38%
and 37% among white voters. Among rural voters Mr. Biden’s approval rating
stood at 29%
Among those
polled, 81% say they were “very” or “somewhat” dissatisfied with the state of the
economy as inflation continues to bite, amid fears of a potential recession. 72%
said they believe the country was headed in the wrong direction in the midst of
a chaotic open border policy that continues to let in millions of illegal and sometimes
unvetted immigrants annually since Mr. Biden assumed office as president.
"Biden's
job approval rating sits at 44% in this final NBC News poll. By the way,
all-time low with independents. His approval rating is just 28%. And let me put
this in context for you. What does a job rating mean? Some people believe it’s
the single most important indicator to understand where a midterm election is
going," moderator Chuck Todd said on Sunday's episode of Meet the Press,
the Washington Examiner reported.
The poll was
conducted among 1,000 registered voters from November 3 to 5 with a margin of
error of 3.1%.
The poll
numbers is no good news for Mr. Biden and his Democratic Party as Americans
head to the polls Tuesday.
Other poll
numbers indicate the GOP is set to take control of the House and that could
bring more oversight into the president’s spending and policies.
It’s not
clear what would happen in the 50-50 evenly split Senate.
